Welcome Message from our Founder, Stan Radman…

I formed The Foundation for Resource Conservation (FRC) back in the early 1980s in response to the environmental constraints imposed upon the timber industry working in our national forests. These constraints have caused the forest lands to be decimated by the overgrowth of waste fuels, many of which are not indigenous to the areas but were brought in by fire trucks and other equipment. In California alone, we have lost 12 million acres of former timber producing and critical watershed acres to fuels that inconvenience and even threaten our lives daily. Restoring what we have lost and managing it for the benefit of the entire earth–not just our country–is critical, and requires a major shift in the way we approach the problem in the 21st century.

The Good News…

… is that The Foundation for Resource Conservation has been providing leadership and funding for research,  education, and implementation of resource conservation to the public since its founding. And with the recent emphasis on a “green” economy, the support for our cause is growing exponentially across the nation and around the world. Conserving our natural resources is the foundation of our existence, and we’d like to invite you to partner with us in this mission.
